China office. Room , Tower 2, Plaza 66 No. Hong Kong office. India office. Service is not quite 5 star, more 4. Don't like having to argue to sit in a lounge, so my lite lunch became a pot of jasmine tea. The bar was lively at night and the service very good. Overall a very nice stay but I wouldn't have been so happy if I had of paid rack rate instead of agoda's reduced rate.
Hotel was friendly and clean. Bed was comfortable, but bed settee was not. Breakfast was OK, not a bad choice on the buffet. Used hotel for getting to challenge cup final. Quite easy to get to the ground via the train. Hotel food was ok, room ok. Overall pleasant stay. Would use again. The hotel is in reasonable taxi ride of watford centre for drinks after. I had an interview the following day and was originally planning to stay with a friend but couldn't at the last minute so booked into the Grove End Hotel.
On arrival the man on duty was very helpful with check in and printed off something I needed the next day. He showed me to my room which was exactly as described, and quite clean. Everything worked fine and I was abl Everything worked fine and I was able to use the internet to do some last minute prep.
However I wasn't told that the room was only heated by a small heater that was not plugged in so I had a slightly uncomfortable night in cold room only to find the heater in the morning. Apart from that though everything was fine, bed was comfy, shower worked, and I was able to get off and be early for my interview.
The room was very basic though and I would never pay near that price if it was my own money the company I applied to covered my expenses. As a last minute option though it was adequate, many made so by the staff.
Lovely room and hotel. Staff were helpful upon arrival but the room was for 2 instead of 3. Soon sorted. Breakfast was good but staff looked bored and were chewing gum paying more attention to one another. The pool is small but was warm and a bonus. The room was modern and had the comfiest beds so brill nights sleep. Overall a lovely hotel and location.
This was a stop gap for us on the way to an Irish dance competition. It was lovely to be in such a historical building :. The beds were so cosy.
Breakfast was not until 9am which was a shame as we had to leave at 8. Staff were just lovely, so friendly.
